Launching with a New Traveltude
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Terri and I have a Traveltude! A Traveltude is the way one thinks about the travel experience – the preparation, the anticipation, the ultimate satisfaction. I didn’t always know it, but I have had a traveltude for a very long time. At an early age, I was fascinated by the idea of traveling worldwide. Although my early travels were limited to family road trips within my home state of Maryland and to the neighboring states of Virginia and Pennsylvania, I still relished the experiences. Now granted, my early travel experiences were far short of worldwide. Don’t try to “travel shame” me! For me, it was less about the destination. It was more about “going” and when I returned, it became about going again.
With the exception of a few longer road trips with my family, it was not until I was in my early 30’s, that my travel experiences began to take off, literally, and were expanded to include domestic destinations, beyond my neighboring states, and international destinations. Each trip cultivated what I now refer to as my Traveltude. Every time I prepare to travel both near and far; the anticipation I have leading up to each trip; and the SATISFACTION of each travel experience continues to feed my desire for more and more travel. d settings.

It seems only natural that my passion for travel led me into the travel industry as a professional travel agent where I started a business called Far Moore Travel. For nearly fifteen years, I have had the pleasure of making travel arrangements and creating itineraries for family, friends, and valued clients to destinations that span the globe. I have been afforded the opportunity to play an intimate role in the travel preparations for many people over the years. I have witnessed firsthand my client’s anticipation of taking those well-deserved vacations of all types. There is nothing more gratifying for a travel professional than to have your clients express their satisfaction with their travel experience.

In the Fall of 2019, as I began to explore ways to further express my love for travel, I focused on how my travel experiences made me feel. I concluded that over the years, my enduring set of emotions stimulated by positive, successful and truly gratifying travel experiences developed into an attitude – or as I call it – a Traveltude. The lightbulb came on and I went to work. I was 100% certain that there are people everywhere who have the same attitudes as I about the positive travel experience, and I could further cultivate the way people think about those experiences.
On December 31, 2019, with the skyline of Thailand as my backdrop and with Facebook and IG Live as my platforms, at the stroke of midnight I did a soft launch of Far Moore Travel’s Lifestyle Brand called “Traveltude.” It was not just the beginning of a new year. It was the beginning of a new decade. The year 2020- a year of clear vision and great things to come! Right?

I spent the first two months of 2020 solidifying plans for an official launch of the Traveltude Lifestyle Brand scheduled for June 2020. The new brand consists of travel apparel and accessories, a Blog and a Podcast. I could hardly contain my excitement as I prepared to further express my love and passion for travel through this new venture. Then, COVID happened!
Like everything else, all things travel came to a screeching halt when in March of 2020, a global pandemic shut down life – literally. OMG! I remember thinking – what is happening? To be honest, launching a new travel product was pretty low on my “what to do to survive a pandemic” list. My first priority was to keep my family safe. So for the past six months, I, along with the rest of the world, have been maneuvering our way through a pandemic, adjusting to new norms, and plotting a way forward. From a business aspect, I never considered ending my career as a Travel professional. I was prepared to weather the storm. I fully expect travel to re-emerge stronger and better than before taking its rightful place as one of the world’s largest economic sectors. I was, however, faced with the question of whether “now” was an absurd time to time to launch a new travel product and if not now, when?
If you’re reading this Blog or if you have listened to my new Podcast, then you know that I decided to set fear and doubt aside and just “Launch.” My Traveltude says there’s no time like the present.

Let’s get to know each other. Drop your comment below to tell us a little bit about your Traveltude – your positive travel experiences, the places you’ve gone, the places you like best, and the places that are in your travel future.
